AWT is almost here, and for Pyxis Lab, this is one of our favorite weeks of the year.

The 2026 AWT Annual Convention & Exposition takes place September 16–19 in Oklahoma City, bringing together water treatment professionals from across the industry for education, networking, and a look at the latest technologies shaping the future of water treatment. You can find the Pyxis Lab team at Booth #209 throughout the show.

This year, we are bringing more than familiar faces. We are preparing to unveil new technology, showcase major upgrades, and give attendees a closer look at several platforms designed to provide more insight while reducing the maintenance and complexity of traditional water analysis.

Unveiling the OXIPANEL Generation 2

One of the biggest highlights at this year’s show will be the official unveiling of the Generation 2 OXIPANEL.

Built around the same goal that has always driven the OXIPANEL Series – reliable, real-time oxidizer monitoring with less maintenance – Generation 2 introduces several major upgrades designed to improve control, sensor performance, cleanliness, and usability.

The new platform combines the upgraded UC-80 PLUS color touchscreen and data logging terminal with expanded inputs and outputs, advanced ST-766SS sensor technology featuring simplified electrode head replacement and integrated conductivity measurement, and the new FR-306 PLUS self-brushing flow reservoir. Together, these upgrades help maintain stable measurement conditions, reduce sensor fouling, simplify operation, and extend maintenance intervals in demanding applications.

The Generation 2 OXIPANEL is designed to measure your selected oxidizer alongside pH, ORP, Conductivity, and temperature, while automated temperature and pH compensation help support consistent oxidizer measurement.

The upgraded FR-306 PLUS adds to the automated mechanical brushing accessory. The motorized brush helps keep the sensor measurement surface cleaner in challenging water conditions, reducing the need for frequent manual intervention.

AWT attendees will be among the first to get an up-close look at the new system and speak directly with the Pyxis team about what has changed.

Introducing the ST-500X: A PTSA Sensor That Provides a Sensor Cleanliness Value

We are also bringing the new ST-500X Series to AWT.

Traditional PTSA sensors tell you the concentration they are measuring without compensation. The ST-500X goes a step further by providing insight into the condition of the sensor itself while still automatically compensating for color and turbidity.

The ST-500X continuously measures PTSA from 0–500ppb while using a dedicated second 4-20mA output to provide a 0–100% sensor cleanliness value.

That cleanliness value can be sent directly to a controller, PLC, DCS, or other monitoring platform, turning the sensor cleanliness into a continuously available process variable rather than an occasional manual diagnostic.

For operators, that means the ability to:

  • Identify developing optical fouling before it impacts measurement reliability
  • Establish maintenance or cleanliness alarms
  • Schedule cleaning based on actual sensor condition instead of arbitrary intervals
  • Gain greater confidence in the PTSA measurement being used for chemical control

The ST-500X also incorporates automatic compensation for sample color and turbidity, giving operators another layer of intelligence in applications where changing water conditions can influence optical measurement.

It is no longer just:

“What is my PTSA?”

It is also:

“Can I trust the condition of the sensor measuring it?”

See the Titronex™ MFA-Series in Action

AWT attendees will also have the opportunity to get a closer look at the Titronex™ MFA-Series, the Pyxis Lab approach to simplifying automated wet-chemistry analysis.

Rather than relying on traditional metering pumps, the Titronex™ platform uses sealed reagent cartridges and a gravity-assisted tube-roller dispensing mechanism to introduce precise reagent volumes into the reaction chamber. The system automates sample handling, reagent delivery, reaction, measurement, and discharge within one analyzer platform.

The Titronex™ MFA-Series supports multiple analytical methods and chemistries, including:

Depending on the chemistry, individual reagent cartridges can support thousands of automated measurements, within capacities ranging up to 16,000 tests on select models.
